You can request deletion of your Midgame account and associated personal data without installing the app, signing in, or paying a fee.
1. Request deletion by email
- Email delete@mid.game with the subject “Midgame account deletion”. You can copy the address into any email service if the link does not open one.
- Include the phone number or email address associated with your Midgame account so we can locate it. For Sign in with Apple, this may be your Apple private relay email. If you cannot access your account or do not know its identifier, explain that in your message so we can help with verification.
- We verify account ownership before processing deletion. Do not send passwords, verification codes, government identification, or payment-card details in your request. A reason or feedback is not required.
The team will explain any verification needed, the status of your request, and any applicable retention exception. Sending an email initiates a request; it does not instantly erase data. You can reply to the same conversation for a status update or contact privacy@mid.game. Applicable response periods are described in Privacy Policy, Section 10.
2. Deactivation is not deletion
Deactivation disables access while retaining your account and personal records. Where the app offers this choice, signing in can restore the account; it does not create a fresh account or erase the old data. Responsible-play restrictions continue to apply.
Permanent deletion removes the account's identifying information and associated personal data as described below. The erased account cannot be restored. Once its login identifiers are released, you can sign up again using the same phone number or email, without restoring the old profile or activity. A new signup does not remove an active cooling-off period or permanent self-exclusion.
In app versions that offer Delete permanently and Deactivate separately, choose Delete permanently to request erasure. Older app versions may use “delete” for a deactivation flow. You do not need to update or reinstall the app, wait through a recovery period, or use an in-app option to submit the email request above.
3. Data covered by permanent deletion
The request covers identifying profile and contact details, sign-in associations, stored location and IP information, preferences, follows and tracked games, personal activity and analytics, feedback and reports, referral relationships, account-linked subscription mappings, sessions, and notification-device records. Permanent deletion removes these from the active account database rather than merely disabling login.
Associated personal data processed by our service providers is also within scope. Provider cleanup can finish separately from deletion in our active database. Request acceptance or an in-app success message is not confirmation that every provider copy has been erased. We distinguish pending cleanup from completed cleanup when responding about your request.
4. Limited retained records
The following records have a separate purpose and retention treatment:
- Responsible-play restrictions: protected, keyed fingerprints of account identifiers may be retained to recognize a returning account and enforce an active restriction. These are not raw phone numbers or email addresses, but they are still treated as protected, linkable information. Finite restrictions expire when the restriction ends; permanent self-exclusion has no expiry.
- Shared sports-results history: an inaccessible account record with identifying profile fields removed and delivery receipts may remain to preserve shared delivered-alert history. Direct contact details and personal interaction fields are removed. A retained identifier is not assumed to be anonymous while it can still be linked through a pending cleanup record.
- Cleanup tracking: a restricted work record retains the account and provider identifiers needed to finish provider cleanup while it is pending. When cleanup is verified, provider identifiers are removed and a minimal completion record is retained for 30 days before scheduled removal.
- Legal exceptions, provider records, and backups: any necessary exception, affected data, purpose, and applicable retention period will be explained when your request is processed. Active-system deletion does not mean every backup or independent app-store transaction record disappears immediately. See Privacy Policy, Section 8.
We do not treat deactivation, retained personal records, or an uncompleted provider-cleanup task as completed permanent deletion.
5. Manage your subscription separately
Deleting or deactivating Midgame does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel through the store that processed your purchase to stop future renewal charges. Cancellation is not required to submit an account-deletion request.
